Opening in 2019 at the dawn of the pandemic, The Bureau : Immersive Experience is the first licensed immersive experience in France. Dama Dreams’ most ambitious project at the time, the intention is to create a one-of-a-kind experience for the fans of the TV series but also the immersive entertainment audience as a whole.
Wanting to do things the right way and to live up to the expectations of a live, IP-based experience, a close collaboration process took place between Dama Dreams, the series’ production company as well as the DGSE – France’s foreign agency.
Set in a 300m² area in an undisclosed location at the heart of Paris, groups of 3 to 6 agents are getting ready to begin their first day in the DGSE. More than regular agents of the secret services, they have shown the potential to join The Bureau, a special and covert entity dedicated to train and manage France’s most important agents who operate abroad under entirely fake identities.
Rooted in realism and closely based on the iconic TV series, the concept is at the crossroads of an escape game, immersive theatre and roleplay in order to provide the players with an unparalleled level of immersion and faithfulness to the IP.
With the goal of pushing the boundaries of the immersive experience concept, the players are not here to play extras or to be the spectators, but rather to become the main protagonists for two hours. By interacting with the actors, collecting clues and solving puzzles, they will have to make the right choices to prove their worth and ultimately guarantee the security of the nation.
